Ryan Huff joined Mountaineer Intercollegiate Athletics in March 2023 as student-athlete development coordinator. In this role, he is responsible for managing the day-to-day, student-athlete development program providing holistic development of transferable and lifetime learning skills. 
 
The Student-Athlete Development office focuses on leadership development, career development, community outreach and personal development. He will also co-advise West Virginia’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and other programing related to student-athlete development.
 
Most recently, Huff worked as a graduate assistant in student-athlete development at Appalachian State where he expects to receive his master’s degree in higher education. He also earned a bachelor’s in communications studies from Appalachian State following a four-year career as a member of the Mountaineer football team. He was a three-time Sun Belt Conference honor roll recipient (2017, 2018 and 2019) and was twice awarded the Steve and Marcia Wilks Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship in 2022 and 2023.
 
He resides in Morgantown.
