David Shrewsbury retuned to Morgantown to join West Virginia University’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in the role of account executive as part of the Learfield Ticket and Seat Solutions team in August 2021.
Shrewsbury earned his master’s degree in sport management from WVU in 2020 while spending three years working in a variety of roles. He worked full-time for WVU Student Recreation as operations attendant and cashier on top of overseeing the operations of all athletics facilities at Mylan Park as a recreation assistant and ultimately the facilities manager.
Prior to making a return to Morgantown, Shrewsbury worked for a year at LA Fitness in Pennsylvania, where he started out as an assistant operations manager before being promoted to operations manager for the final six months in 2021.
The Bluefield, West Virginia, native also remained in-state to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Marshall University in 2017.
