2023-24 (Junior)

  • Competed in the C final of the 200-yard butterfly at the 2024 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships

2022-23 (Sophomore)

  • Earned a silver medal at the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship in the 800 freestyle relay with Abby Reardon, Gabriela Martin and Miranda Kirtley
  • Placed fourth in the 400-yard individual medley at the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship
  • Won the 400-yard individual medley against the University of Cincinnati
  • Finished in third-place in the women’s 100-yard freestyle and the 400-yard individual medley against Penn State
  • Won the 200-yard individual medley against Villanova
  • Named to the 2023 Winter Academic All-Big 12 First Team

2021-22 (Freshman)

  • CSCAA Qualifier
  • Was a member of the top-ten 800 free relay (10th – 7:29.29) at CSCAA National Invitational
  • Competed in the consolation finals of the 400 IM (4:25.46) and the 200 fly (2:07.22) at the 2022 Big 12 Championships
  • Helped the 800 free relay finish fourth, with a time of 7:20.65, at conference championships
  • Swam in the 200 freestyle against Iowa State and Villanova, recording a time of 1:58.19
  • Appeared in the A finals of the 200 fly (4th – 2:04.94) and the 400 IM (8th – 4:35.17) at the WVU Invitational; additionally, swam in the B final of the 200 IM, touching in 2:07.73, good for 13th overall
  • Also, at the winter invite, she was a member of the fourth-place 400 free relay (3:27.10), fifth-place 200 free relay (1:35.90), the third-place 800 free relay (7:30.16) and the 400 medley relay (8th – 3:51.03)
  • Against PSU, Burton touched second in the 200 IM (2:10.30) and fourth in the 200 free (1:54.50)
  • Took home a pair of second-place and third-place individual finishes at the WV State Games, including the 200 free (2nd – 1:55.57), the 200 fly (2nd – 2:07.65), the 500 free (3rd – 5:10.68) and the 200 IM (3rd – 2:11.78)
  • Additionally, at State Games, she was a member of the 400 free relay (2nd – 3:39.65), the 200 medley relay (3rd – 1:51.95), the 200 free relay (2nd – 1:39.45) and the 400 medley relay (2nd – 3:59.77)

High School

  • Attended James River High School and swam for coach Mary Rech
  • Swam club for NOVA of Virginia under coaches Geoff Brown, Norman Wright, Mark Kutz and Mike Julian
  • 2021 PV NCAP Elite Qualifier in the 50 free, 100 free, 400 free and 200 fly
  • Placed sixth in the 50 free (24.04) at the 2021 VHSL Class 6A State Championship her senior year
  • Finished seventh in the 200 fly (2:02.57) at the 2020 Virginia Swimming Age Group Championships
  • During her junior year, she took fifth in the 200 free and seventh in the 100 free at VHSL Class 6A State Championships
  • Was a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American
  • Three-time finalist at the 2019 Virginia Swimming Senior Championships in the 500 free, 100 fly and 200 fly
  • Two-time regional champion in the 50 free; also took first in the 100 free during her sophomore year at regionals
  • VHSL 6A State Championship Finalist in the 500 free, taking home seventh
  • Finished second at states her freshman year in the 200 free
