West Virginia Hosts Senior Day on Saturday

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team concludes the regular outdoor season on Saturday, May 3 as it serves host for the WVU Last Chance meet at the Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park in Morgantown.

The Last Chance Meet kicks off with throws at 10 a.m. ET. The high jump as well as the pole vault will be competed inside the Shell Building in Morgantown due to inclement weather.

The Mountaineers are set to compete in the women's high jump, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters, 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles and the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday.

West Virginia will honor seniors Abigale Mullings, Petal Palmer, Jeanne Reix Charat, and Megan Weaver during the meet at approximately 5:30 p.m. ET.

Last time out, WVU hosted the Mountaineer Twilight on April 20 in Morgantown. The Mountaineer Twilight was highlighted by a West Virginia sweep in the women's 800 meters. Redshirt senior Mikenna Vanderheyden claimed first in the event with a time of 2:07.03 followed by freshman Kishay Rowe who finished second with a time of 2:08.21. Classmate Mary Delaney collected a personal best time of 2:11.97 along with a third-place finish. Freshman Eva Rinker rounded out the event in fourth, running for a time of 2:16.82.
