MORGANTOWN, W.Va.– Redshirt junior
Ceili McCabe of the West Virginia University track and field team finished second in the women's mile semifinal race on Friday night at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship held in Boston, Massachusetts.
In her third appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championship, McCabe ran for a time of 4:32.25 solidifying her spot in the women's mile final Saturday night.
"Ceili handled tonight's race very well, this is the finest NCAA mile field in history bar none," said WVU coach
Sean Cleary. "This race played out perfectly to her style of racing and now we live to run another day."
Next up, McCabe will compete in the women's mile final on Saturday, March 8 at 7 p.m. inside the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass.
