MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University Department of Intercollegiate invites all fans to enjoy a day of fun and festivities at the third-ever Mountaineer Fan Fest, set to coincide with the gymnastics and wrestling teams' Beauty and the Beast Meet on Sunday, Feb. 18, inside the WVU Coliseum.

The Coliseum Gold Gate will open at 1 p.m., with Fan Fest activities taking place on the concourse until 2 p.m., when the wrestling and gymnastics competitions are set to begin.

The Mountaineer Fan Fest brings together many of the WVU teams and student-athletes in one place for a fun afternoon of games and activities. Upon entrance, fans are encouraged to pick up their passport for the day and visit each of the team stations.

The team activities will be highlighted by a selfie station with members of the West Virginia football team, including quarterback Garrett Greene, safety Aubrey Burks, defensive lineman Sean Martin and running back CJ Donaldson Jr. A complete listing of team activities is below.

Fans will get a stamp for their passports at each station. Completed passports may be turned in to the WVU athletics marketing table at the Gold Gate, and participants will be eligible for one of the following grand prizes: four tickets to an upcoming home men's or women's basketball game, four tickets to a home baseball game, a football signed by head coach Neal Brown and WVU wrestling and gymnastics gear. The winners will be announced during the gymnastics/wrestling competitions, and fans must be present to win.

In addition to the team stations, there also will be a pink shaker giveaway to the first 1,000 fans in honor of the gymnastics and wrestling teams' annual pink meets, courtesy of WVU Medicine.

A commemorative Beauty and the Beast poster also will be given to the first 500 fans, and Mr. Twister will provide balloon art and face painting.

The Mountaineer gymnastics and wrestling teams will begin competition simultaneously at 2 p.m. The gymnastics team will face Big 12 Conference foes No. 7 Denver and No. 24 Iowa State, while the wrestlers will grapple with Glenville State. Following the competition, both teams will sign autographs on the Coliseum concourse to cap the day's events.

Tickets for the event are $8, as one ticket gains fans admittance into Mountaineer Fan Fest and the Beauty and the Beast competition. WVU students are admitted free with a valid WVU Student I.D. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800 WVU GAME. Any remaining tickets will be available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office on meet day, which opens one hour prior to the start of the event.
